Fall is the perfect season to be outdoors in the mountains. The crisp mornings and beauty of the changing leaves beckon you to spend as much time outside as possible. How can you program your retreat to make the most of the fall season? If your retreat is at Ridgecrest, here are a few ideas for you:
- Reserve a fire ring one evening. You can make it a worship night or a time for fellowship around the fire. Don’t forget to order S’mores!
- For a fun activity, plan a group scavenger hunt. This is a great way to familiarize your guests with campus, all while enjoying each other’s company.
- Spend time in the Prayer Garden. It’s a great spot for personal devotions or for prayer as a group.
- Take a sunrise hike to Royal Gorge Lookout or a sunset hike up Rattlesnake Trail. Both summits offer stunning mountain views.
- Plan a prayer walk. You can designate a path with specific prayer prompts or leave it more informal and open-ended.
- Make use of the Rec Area. Reserve a field for a game of Ultimate Frisbee or split your guests into teams for a mini golf tournament.
- Grab a drink from Clouds Coffee Shop and a rocking chair on Rocking Chair Ridge. Relax and enjoy the beautiful mountain view.
