Ridgecrest Quiet Time Guide

Our prayer for you is to allow the Holy Spirit to lead you closer to Him during your stay. We hope you take advantage of this guide as a way to renew your relationship with the Lord.

• Worship – We were made to worship, but it can sometimes be easy to worship undeserving things. Allow God to show you the idols in your life you are wrongfully worshiping. Turn to Him with praise, and express why He alone is worthy of your worship.
  1 Chronicles 29:10-13; Psalm 150:1-6
• Confession – Ask the Lord to reveal your sin. Spend time in confession, and ask for forgiveness. Express your need for Him, and confess a desire to meet with Him during your stay.
  1 John 1:8-9; Acts 3:19
  
• Thanksgiving – Spend time in prayer, thanking the Lord for His many blessings. Write down as many things as possible for which you are thankful, including ways He is moving in your life and His beautiful creation.

• Guidance – In life, we all have decisions to make, troubles to overcome and needs that seem impossible to attain. Acknowledge God in His sovereignty, and ask for His help and guidance. Be open and specific with Him.
  Philippians 4:6; James 1:5-6
  
• Meditation – It is essential we read and meditate on His word to guard our hearts and minds. As you read and reread a verse or passage of Scripture, reflect on the truths and promises of God. May it begin to change your thoughts and actions.

• Listening – Acknowledge God’s presence, and practice listening to His voice.
  Psalm 62:5; Isaiah 30:1
