I have special dietary needs. Can Ridgecrest help?

Ridgecrest offers enhanced menus with items suited for those with special dietary needs. On the serving lines in our dining room, look for the unique symbol placed on the label beside each item to indicate gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian. We have experienced great success with our new offerings and found they meet the needs of the majority of our guests. For any additional concerns regarding our menu, feel free to call us at (828) 669.8022.

What is Ridgecrest Conference Center currently doing with respect to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)?

The health and safety of our guests and team members is of utmost importance, so we are maintaining a posture of preparedness and basing our planning and response on factual, credible information from trustworthy sources such as The Centers for Disease Control (cdc.gov). Specifically:

  • We have a team that is meeting regularly to monitor and assess developments.
  • We are following our cleaning and disinfecting protocols with increased vigilance and implementing additional preventive measures as advisable.
  • We are in ongoing communication with the Buncombe County Health Department.
  • We are utilizing hand sanitizer stations with at least 60% alcohol content per the CDC.
  • We are reminding individuals of CDC-recommended personal protection behaviors to prevent the spread of any illness, including:
    • Avoid close contact with people who are sick. Stay at home when you’re sick.
    • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, sneezing, and going to the restroom, and before eating or preparing food. If soap and water are not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol content.
    • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw it in the trash can (and wash hands).
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
    • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
  • We are asking all individuals to adhere to the following guideline – If one or more of the following is true then please refrain from visiting Ridgecrest until remaining symptom-free for 14 days:
    • You have recently traveled (or been in contact with someone who has) to one of the CDC-defined high-risk areas (currently China, South Korea, Italy, Iran, and Japan)
    • You have been exposed to someone with suspected COVID-19 infection
    • You are experiencing fever, cough, and shortness of breath
      • NOTE: Such guests, if their reservation needs to be canceled, will receive a full refund for any event held prior to May 15, 2020.

We trust you find this information helpful and reassuring. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together for the health and safety of our guests and team members!

What Our Guests Are Saying…

I really enjoyed my stay. Everything was great. I really appreciate your making the facilities available to pastors at a reduced rate. I will return to my ministry very refreshed and ready to serve God and others! Thanks again,

Nice environment for fellowship with God and others.

The Prayer Garden was a source of power and serenity for me. I went to the creek, laid my troubles and sins in my hands, and placed them in the creek, letting the Lord wash them away. I haven't felt this good in years. I'll never forget it.

As a staffer from 1958-1962, Ridgecrest Provided that mountain top experience that I needed to put my life on the right track. It was there, as a college student that I made a commitment to my Savior to go where He would lead and do what He would command. I have tried to keep that vow for the past 40+ years in my career, home and Church. Relationships formed there still exist today even though we live miles apart. I will never forget my experiences there and find the Holy Spirit working there every time I return to the campus.

God gave me more pieces to the puzzle about the vision He has given me for a particular ministry. The quiet getaway allowed me to hear His voice more clearly without the busyness of everyday life.

God graciously met us in all our meetings and gave us a refreshed vision for life and ministry.

I was there for a Minister's Getaway and I appreciate SO MUCH your willingness to provide a place to stay!

The BRMCWC (Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference) was a wonderful conference and my first experience at Ridgecrest. I went with a vision of direction and found that the Lord had other ideas that have already proved positive as I published my first submission after attending the conference because of the wonderful faculty led classes and doing my research.

The Holy Spirit ministered mightily through the various speakers. Blessing through prayers offered in our behalf before our coming brought us rich experiences in our growth and walk with God. Thank You!

This was a great setting to get away with my spouse and rekindle the flame that busyness in the ministry can often extinguish. Thank you LifeWay for providing this great service.

We were reminded that Psalm 46:10 is essential to our existence - "Be still and know that I am God"! We were reminded that all we need is Him - not all the stuff we think we do.

As a minister, I needed to get away and focus on God and that's just what I did. Your website made it easy to schedule the ideal time when not many other groups were there. I could not have asked for a better place and I plan on being back. Thank you very much.

Enjoyed the peaceful surrounding. I plan on returning in the near future to spend a week of study and sermon preparation. May God continue to bless and give you and your staff a vision of creating an environment of peace and quietness. Be blessed in Jesus Name.

God truly spoke to my wife and I during our time at Ridgecrest. We could not wait to come home and share what we had learned with our friends and answer God's call to become involved in the Marriage Ministry at our church. Keep doing what you are doing. We, the followers of Christ, will serve to change our world, starting at home.

Through the cooperation of Ridgecrest, we are able each year to host the Woman's Prayer Evangelism Conference. This year, we were able to watch the women who stayed at your facilities, learn and grow in their understanding of our Holy God, His Word and His Heart for the nations. Thanks for what you do to help facilitate this experience.

Was good to spend time with my family. The demands of being a pastor often causes me to disconnect from my family - although I try hard to stay connected. The setting was great to see this happen.

There's something special about Ridgecrest. As soon as you drive onto the campus, you can feel the presence of the Lord. The staff and volunteers are very helpful and make you feel welcomed.

My time at the center was so refreshing. I was so blessed to spend extended time with my brothers and sisters in an environment that was so geared towards growth. The speakers were amazing and the location always reminds me of how great our God is.

The writer's conference was beyond learning about writing. It had a spiritual influence and the leaders exemplified the love of Christ to those who attended.

My husband David and I stayed Sunday through Thursday this past week as guests because of our service with the International Mission Board. Thank you so much for making this opportunity available to us. We appreciate it so much! Blessings to you.
