Mountainside Fiction & Nonfiction Retreat

Ridgecrest Mountainside Fiction & Nonfiction Retreat

October 4, 2020
 - October 7, 2020

Storytelling is the ancient art of entertaining others with a powerful story. What better way to learn the craft than a novelist retreat in the mountains. Through small group instruction and hands-on exercises from bestselling writers, the craftsman is able to focus on building strengths from challenges. Writers developing all levels of their career will benefit from one-on-one consultations, brainstorming, and instructions. Join us October 4-7, 2020 for hours of hard work, spiritual renewal, and building the craft of novel writing.

Nonfiction writing is one of the foundational skill sets every professional writer must have. Even a novelist’s career will be enhanced by knowing how to write compelling articles, devotions and essays. In addition to short form writing, this retreat also equips attendees with the knowledge needed to write book-length nonfiction.

Writers will be inspired and educated from industry professionals who have proven publishing industry backgrounds. Through large group meetings, small group mentoring and hands-on exercises, writers will be challenged no matter where you are in your writing journey. Join us to grow spiritually and professionally.

Important Update

The health and safety of guests and team members is of utmost importance. Even though no COVID-19 cases have been tied to Ridgecrest Conference Center at this point, we have made the decision to not host events and guests (including individual stays) through May 15, 2020. We will continue to monitor additional developments and reassess as appropriate.

Previously made reservations for stays before May 15th will be canceled and fully refunded. Please note that credit card refunds typically take several business days to process.

Planners of events scheduled at Ridgecrest before May 15th: A member of our sales team will contact you to discuss rescheduling possibilities.

In these unprecedented circumstances, please join our team in praying for our communities, our nation, and our world.
